I installed Vista beta 2 on a Dell 4550 desktop system with these specs.
Pentium 4 2 GHz NVidia GeForce4 MX 420 (sorry no glass effect, older system) 768 MBs Ram
No installation problems.

What can I say. I also have my Dell Inspiron 600m that Vista beta 2 was installed on first in a workgroup network setting with my Dell desktop. So far, no problems. I really like the idea that they are able to share music/videos via WMP over the network.
Granted this is beta, but so far, I am really looking forward to RC1.
